Our story began in 2016 with a simple, yet ambitious goal: to make the world more navigable for everyone. Today we make that goal a reality by helping businesses transform their physical spaces with digital maps to enhance the experience of everyone that walks through their doors.
Innovation Starts With a Problem
In 2016, René Espinoza Founder & CEO noticed a problem. Most businesses didn’t offer inclusive navigation options like accessible way finding technology, leaving large groups of people with no reliable way to navigate through their facilities safely or independently. This problem led René to create LazarilloApp: a multi-award winning mobile application built to make navigation more inclusive of people with disabilities with interactive maps and routes. Today, the power of this technology is packaged within MapVX, providing personalized and accessible experiences in physical spaces for everyone.
Growth and Partnership
Lazarillo App quickly became a leading way finding solution across the globe, amassing over 350,000 users. But as we partnered with cities & businesses to push the boundaries of accessible navigation, we identified new problems. Businesses weren’t only lacking in solutions for people with disabilities. The digital maps employed by most businesses weren’t providing a seamless experience to customers, lacked mobile integration, and couldn’t collect the key analytics that businesses need to thrive.
MapVX is Born
Recognizing the growing demand for sophisticated and user-friendly mapping solutions, MapVX was born. We began working with retailers around the globe to create the most powerful and robust digital mapping experience on the market. Today, MapVX provides businesses everywhere with the tools to improve the experience of customers, collect vital analytics on search trends and usage, and promote their brand on a powerful multi-platform interface. And of course, true to our roots, we incorporated multiple accessibility enhancements.
